Management Team
R. Uwe Placzek (1969 / German national) - Initiator and CEO

Pragmatic thinker and creative mind, Uwe combines a broad range of business and industry experience. He managed a host of successful high-tech projects in the automotive and telecom industry and was founder and Managing Director of M2Y, the white label music platform at Siemens serving large telcos such as T-Online (musicload), T-Mobile, AOL, Telstra and O2, which in 2003 launched the world's first over the air music service.

Uwe holds a university degree in design engineering.

His interests are manifold and he most enjoys travelling, scuba diving, reading and playing the piano.

Walter Jucker (1958 /Swiss national) – Co-initiator and CFO & COO

Walter's career spans many years in senior positions within the international banking community. In the early 1990s Walter (Walti) changed direction and moved to the telecom industry to become the European MD of a large US telecom provider, Xpedite Intl. In 1997 he built up his own company Unimontis and successfully sold it in 2004 to a NYSE-listed company followed by several years of experience as board member of mainly small Swiss companies.

Walti's interests include skiing, golfing, Bordeaux wines and old mechanical wrist watches.

Leslie Golding (1965 / British national) - Co-initiator and CMO

Over 22 years consumer marketing experience - past 15 years focused on entertainment and telecoms post MBA with distinction from Manchester Business School.

Before Acetrax, Leslie held senior positions at EMI and BBC and O2 where as Head Of Music, he launched world's first over the air music service on 3G . At BBC Worldwide, he successfully launched the double platinum selling album: "Led Zeppelin at the Beeb" and spearheaded Top of the Pops commercialisation including albums and the development of a local version of the Top of the Pops TV format with RTL in Germany.

Leslie's interests are wide and include playing the violin and scuba diving in the Red Sea.

Darren Zimmer: (1976 / British national) – Director Retail Operations

Darren has worked in the home entertainment industry for 14 years both in the UK and Sydney Australia where he helped set up and run a highly successful design agency servicing major Hollywood studios such as Disney and Twentieth Century Fox. During his career Darren has worked on some of the biggest Pan European In-store marketing campaigns for major blockbuster successes such as Titanic and Star Wars, The Incredibles and Xmen. He started his career as a Point Of Sale structural engineer achieving 5 patents in retail POS design, later he went on to manage the In-store marketing division of AGI Media Europe before joining Acetrax in late 2008.

Paulo Ferreira (1970 / Portuguese national) – Director of Business Development

Very skilled in international relations, Paulo has a rare combination of technology and business know-how allowing him to build a bridge between technology and marketing teams.

In the past Paulo had a successful carrier as Sales Director at Siemens Mobile Phones in Portugal, where his results secured one of the highest market shares in Europe for the Bavarian company.

Paulo holds a University degree in electronic engineering as well as a management degree by Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School in Belgium. He also enjoys practicing sports and driving fast cars on racing tracks.

Sven Fischer (1974 / Swiss national) - Director Development & Rollout

Part of the Acetrax team since 3.5 years. Sven previously worked 5 years for M2Y/Music2You (Music download service provided by Siemens and afterwards Nokia Siemens Networks), responsible for customer projects and operations. Prior to that, 5 years for Siemens in different areas of testing and project management of embedded software. If he's not working, Sven enjoys dancing and cooking.

Dr. Kathrin Brunner (1971 / German national) – Strategic Marketing Advisor

Kathrin has extensive experience in Video on demand, IPTV, digital media and film. Previously Managing Director of in2movies – a joint venture of Warner Bros. and Bertelsmann – and prior to that at Deutsche Telekom and as General Manager Movies for KirchNewMedia's Maxdome portal, Kathrin was involved in development and going live of industry-shaping IPTV services and broadband entertainment portals.

Her current company, Starberry, consults digital media and film production companies in Strategic Marketing and Content Distribution and supported the production of 'On the Inside', a feature film by Uwe Janson and Oliver Czeslik.

A film enthusiast, Kathrin holds a Ph.D. in Strategic Management and is teaching at Bauhaus Filminstitut in Weimar.

Kurt Moser (1953 / Swiss national) – Chairman of the Board

Over thirty years experience in the Banking and Financial Information industry.

Worked for Credit Suisse, Telekurs, Infotec, GLTrade and SunGard in leading positions in the United Kingdom and Switzerland with international responsibilities




Mario Fontana (1946 / Swiss national) – Board Member

25 years of experience in the computer industry, the last 15 years of which as general manager with Hewlett-Packard in Switzerland, Germany, Europe and the US.

Followed by 14 years of experience as board member of mainly Swiss companies, e.g. Schweizerische Bundesbahnen, Sulzer, Leica Geosystems, Dufry, Inficon and Swissquote.

Since 3 years investor in start-up companies and his own family foundation.

Martin Staub (1953 / Swiss national) – Former Chairman and now Advisor to the Board

25 years of experience in the computer and telecommunication industry, the last 15 years of which in senior management positions as CFO of Digital Equipment Switzerland and Compaq Germany, COO of Sunrise Communications AG and CEO of Bulgarian Telecom.

Experienced board member, e.g. Bulgarian Telecom, S.I.G. and Inval SA and President of several pension funds.

Since 5 years investor in start-up companies.


Adrian Bult (1959 / Swiss national) – Advisor to the Board

14 years with IBM in different national and international sales and marketing positions, member of the IBM executive board in Switzerland, followed by 10 years as member of the Swisscom executive board (CIO, then CEO of the wireline business and CEO of Swisscom Mobile).

Since 2007 shareholder and member of the Avaloq executive board and board member of Swissquote, Swissgrid and Versatel.


Jürg Rötheli (1963 / Swiss national) – Advisor to the Board

15 years experience in the telecommunication and consumer electronics industry and adjacent industries of which the last 9 years as member of the Swisscom executive board (General Counsel/Head Group Legal, then CEO Swisscom Participations).

Experienced chairman and board member of mainly Swiss small and medium sized companies.

Since 2010 CEO of Clear Channel Switzerland
